Free cancellation
Cancel more than 7 days before check-in for a full refund. No fees, no questions.
Partial refund
Cancel 2–7 days before check-in and receive a 50% refund of the total booking cost.
No refund
Cancellations within 48 hours of check-in are non-refundable. The full amount is charged.

Flights
Flexible fares
Full refund or free rebooking available up to 24 hours before departure.
Standard fares
Changes permitted with an airline change fee. Cancellations typically result in a travel credit.
Basic fares
Non-refundable and non-changeable. What you book is what you fly.
Note: Flight cancellation terms are set by the airline, not Waybound. The fare class and full policy are displayed before you confirm payment.
Car Rentals
Free cancellation
Cancel any car rental more than 24 hours before pickup for a full refund.
Late cancellation
Cancellations within 24 hours of pickup incur a one-day rental fee.
No-show
If you don't pick up the car without cancelling, the full amount is charged.
Excursions
Standard cancellation
Cancel more than 48 hours before the experience for a full refund.
Short notice
Cancel 24–48 hours before for a 50% refund.
Same day / no-show
No refund for cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows.

How do I cancel a booking?
Go to your profile, open the trip, and select 'Cancel booking.' The refund will be processed within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
What if the host cancels on me?
If a host cancels your reservation, you'll receive a full refund automatically. We'll also help you find a comparable alternative at no extra cost.
Can I change my dates instead of cancelling?
Yes — date changes are handled through the same 'Manage booking' screen. If the new dates are available and the price difference is minimal, changes are usually free.
What counts as a 'misrepresented' listing?
If the property significantly differs from what was advertised — wrong location, fewer bedrooms, missing amenities listed as included — contact support within 24 hours of check-in and we'll handle it.
